Neymar "very happy" at Paris Saint-Germain amid Barcelona return links

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar offers his biggest indication yet that he intends to sign a new contract with the French giants.

Neymar has insisted that he is "very happy" at Paris Saint-Germain and is not interested in leaving the club.

The ex-Barcelona star made history on Wednesday with a hat-trick against Istanbul Basaksehir, becoming the first player to score 20 goals for two different clubs in the Champions League.

Neymar has been regularly linked with a return to Camp Nou, even more so after admitting last week that he is desperate to link up with former teammate Lionel Messi next year.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed this week that contract talks are underway with the 28-year-old, however, and the superstar forward has given his biggest indication yet that he will stay put at the Parc des Princes.

"I am very happy here in Paris. I am very happy at the club, with my teammates," he told RMC Sport.

"The idea of leaving does not occur to me. We have to discuss [my contract]. We have a very good relationship. I am very happy and we'll see what happens in the future."

PSG are also hopeful of persuading Kylian Mbappe to extend his contract beyond the end of the 2021-22 season.
