Conference Premier roundup: Barnet beaten by Wrexham

Sports Mole rounds up Tuesday evening's action in the Conference Premier as the top three in the league table all fail to earn three points.

Barnet have remained at the top of the Conference Premier table despite falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to Wrexham.

A goal early in the second half from Rob Evans was enough to earn the Welsh side all three points, but the Bees held on to top spot after Woking and Halifax Town failed to capitalise on their setback.

Woking fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Torquay United, who have moved up to second place, while Halifax were held to a 1-1 draw by Grimsby Town.

Gateshead have fallen down to sixth place after they could only secure a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield Town but Braintree Town have strengthened their position in seventh after winning 3-1 away at Aldershot Town.

Kidderminster Harriers have responded after suffering back-to-back defeats by thrashing Altrincham by a 4-0 scoreline, while Bristol Rovers have continued their improved form with a 3-1 triumph over Nuneaton Town.

At the bottom of the table, Alfreton Town made it successive wins after they edged out basement club AFC Telford United, who remain without a victory on their return to the division, by three goals to two.

Dover Athletic remain in trouble after falling to a 2-1 loss at Dartford but Welling United have climbed up the table after beating Lincoln City 2-0 at Park View Road.

Eastleigh were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Forest Green Rovers but Chester FC made inroads up the standings with a 2-0 win against Southport.
