Karl-Heinz Rummenigge rules out Pep Guardiola exit

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says that Bayern Munich are "never going to sack" manager Pep Guardiola.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that the club will never sack manager Pep Guardiola.

The Bavarians won the league and cup double in the Spaniard's first season at the club, but he was criticised for their lack of success in the Champions League.

"Bayern are never going to sack Pep Guardiola," he told Welt am Sonntag. "I can even put that in writing for you.

"We have two perfect years behind us, won eight titles and some of our players have even put the cherry on top with the World Cup. And now we will continue setting records by being better than we've ever been after a World Cup."

Guardiola won three La Liga titles and the Champions League twice during his time at Barcelona.
