Queens Park Rangers are reportedly interested in signing experienced Portuguese international Hugo Almeida on a free transfer.
The powerful forward is currently available out of contract after leaving Turkish side Besiktas this summer and can this be signed outside of the transfer window.
The R's failed with January moves for Fabio Borini and Jermain Defoe and it is understood that manager Harry Redknapp still wants a new striker, with Almeida his top target, according to the Daily Mirror,
The 30-year-old scored 15 times in 33 games for Besiktas last season.
