The BRFC Action Group insists that they still want Steve Kean to be relieved of his managerial duties at Blackburn Rovers.

The BRFC Action Group have denied claims that they have warmed to Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean.

Large demonstrations were made against Kean's management earlier in the season as Rovers battled with relegation.

However, over recent weeks, a lot of the frustration has been aimed in the direction of the club's board and owners.

Nevertheless, a statement has insisted that the organisation are still keen for Kean to be relieved of his duties at Ewood Park.

"As the group that has organised all protests against Steve Kean, we would like to categorically deny media reports that we have retracted our stance on the current manager of Blackburn Rovers," read the statement. "Steve Kean has an awful record as our manager with only 12 wins from 51 games and an average of below one point per game achieved. He has lied to the supporters about players being injured, criticised those who speak out against him, made outlandish statements to the press and in his own words 'forfeited' cup matches.

"A recent poll was started on a supporters' forum, following the back-to-back victories against Wolves and Sunderland where 86% of supporters wish to see Kean sacked regardless of whether the club stays up or goes down.

"There has been no swing in opinion in regards to the manager or the owners and the group is as determined as ever to fight for a better run Blackburn Rovers with owners who care, a board who has experience and a manager who has the ability and profile to manage a Premier League football team."

Rovers, who face Manchester United tomorrow night, are currently 17th in the Premier League table.
