Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has revealed that Junior Hoilett is close agreeing a new contract with the club.
The highly-rated youngster's future at Ewood Park has come into doubt after talks between both parties reportedly stalled.
However, Kean has now confirmed that discussions are nearing a conclusion.
"We are getting there very slowly," said Kean. "I believe the term has been agreed and his base salary has been agreed.
"It is the smaller detail which can be slow but the main things have been agreed."
The 21-year-old's current deal expires next summer.
