Blackburn owners Venky's are ready to give manager Steve Kean £10m to spend in the January transfer window.

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is expected to have £10m to spend in the January transfer window.

Rovers owners Venky's are ready to put in double what they were originally planning to give the Scot, according to The Mirror.

"There are areas that I'd like to strengthen," said Kean. "We have found it difficult at times with senior players out.

"We will look to bring in different players. I want a midfield player who can pick out the runs of our forwards and I am also looking for someone to add goals to the team up front."

The Lancashire club are currently bottom of the Premier League table after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Stoke City.
