Paul Ince: 'Blackpool deserved late victory over Barnsley'

Blackpool manager Paul Ince claims that his side deserved their injury-time victory over Barnsley.

Paul Ince felt that his Blackpool side deserved their victory over Barnsley after an injury-time own goal from Scott Wiseman.

The defender could only help the ball into his own net after failing to clear a Jack Robinson throw-in.

Blackpool's victory continued their perfect start to the Championship season and Ince felt that his team were superior throughout despite failing to make the breakthrough until late on.

"I'd pretty much resigned myself to it being a goalless draw to be honest," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"Though I was disappointed because I felt we created the better chances over the 90 minutes.

"You've got to keep your mind sharp though, and you never know, a chance is always likely to come at the end like that."

The result moves Blackpool up to second in the Championship, level on points with leaders Watford.
