Blackpool manager Paul Ince has been charged by the Football Association in relation to comments made following his side's League Cup exit.
The English governing body has deemed Ince's remarks regarding the match officials following Blackpool's 1-0 defeat to Preston North End on Monday as unacceptable.
A statement from the FA said: "It is alleged that Ince's comments were in breach of FA Rule E3 in that they called into question the integrity of the match referee and/or implied that the match referee was motivated by bias; and/or brought the game into disrepute."
Ince has until 6pm on August 13 to respond to the charge.
