Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between Blackpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Bloomfield Road.

Under the guidance of Michael Appleton, Blackpool have begun to make strides up the Championship table.

As they head into Friday's home encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Seasiders are on a run of eight matches without defeat.

They have also been in good form at Bloomfield Road, having lost just two of their 11 encounters in front of their own supporters.

In contrast, visiting Wolves have lost seven of their Championship matches on the road. Incidentally, Stale Solbakken's team have yet to draw an away fixture.

Despite speculation over a transfer to Premier League side Liverpool, Thomas Ince is expected to start in attack for hosting Blackpool. Loanee frontman Nathan Delfouneso could also be handed a starting role.

Meanwhile, despite his recovery from an ankle injury, Jermaine Pennant has been tipped to be named on the bench for Wolves, with Bjorn Sigurdarson preferred on the wing.

Recent form

Blackpool: DDDWDW

Wolves: LLLWWL
