Team News: Blackpool leave out Nile Ranger for Blackburn Rovers clash

New signing Nile Ranger is left out of Blackpool's squad to face Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers at Bloomfield Road in Championship action this afternoon.

Blackpool's new signing Nile Ranger must wait for his debut after manager Jose Riga opted to leave the ex-Newcastle United frontman out of his matchday squad to face local rivals Blackburn Rovers.

Another recent recruit, former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso, does make his home league bow for the Tangerines side and will be partnered up front by Ishmael Miller.

Rovers make just one change to the side that drew their Championship opener with Cardiff City, with Matt Kilgallon making way for Josh King.

That means new signing Chris Brown must wait for his first start in Blackburn colours after failing to shake off a knee injury.

Blackburn go to Bloomfield Road in good form, having not lost a Championship fixture since a 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth back in March.

Blackpool: Lewis, McMahon, Clarke, Daniels, Oriol, Perkins, Lundstram, Mellis, Cywka, Delfouneso, Miller

Blackburn Rovers: Robinson, Lowe, Baptiste, Hanley, Olsson, King, Evans, Cairney, Conway, Rhodes, Gestede
