Bologna and Genoa play out a 0-0 draw on the final day of the Serie A season.

Bologna and Genoa have ended the Serie A season with a point each in their final match after playing out a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara this afternoon.

The home side enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges, with Marco Borriello testing Bologna goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic with an effort from outside the box.

Stojanovic was called into action again midway through the half when he turned Antonio Floro Flores's free kick around the post for a corner.

The visitors went close to opening the scoring in the 25th minute when Panagiotis Kone's volley came back off the crossbar.

Bologna improved in the second half, with Alessandro Diamanti shooting just wide from the edge of the penalty area.

However, there was little attacking threat from either side in the closing stages as the game petered out into a draw.
