Owen Coyle hopes to have seen the end of Bolton's bad luck.

Owen Coyle has said that he is hoping to have seen the end of Bolton's bad run of luck after the club successfully overturned Gary Cahill's red card at Tottenham.

Cahill, who was dismissed after going a goal down at White Hart Lane in Bolton's eventual 3-0 defeat, saw his appeal upheld earlier this week. The centre-back will now once again be available when his side welcome former club Aston Villa to the Reebok Stadium this weekend.

"You can never be 100% about anything," Coyle told the Bolton News. "But we were confident that this would be the outcome.

"Hopefully, that's the end of this run of bad luck we've been on, with suspensions and everything else. We've played huge chunks of three of the last five games with ten men and that has been difficult.

"We have to start picking up points. That starts on Saturday against Aston Villa, heading into a run of games where I think we can start moving up the table and out of a position we don't want to be in."

Bolton are currently one place off the bottom of the Premier League on goal difference.
