Neil Lennon: 'Bolton Wanderers too good to be bottom of Championship'

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon believes that his side are too good to be bottom of the Championship, despite dropping to 24th after their 2-0 loss at Burnley.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has claimed that his side are too good to be bottom of the Championship.

The Trotters dropped to the foot of the division after a 2-0 loss at Burnley on Saturday, which left them three points from safety.

Lennon, who took over at the Macron Stadium in October last year, told BBC Sport: "We're better than that, we're better than being bottom of the league. We'll have to turn that around, we'll have to prove that, and I think we will.

"At the end of the day my employment is based on results and they've not been good. I'm aware of that, but I think we can turn things around."

Bolton face successive home games against Birmingham City and Leeds United in the coming weeks.
