Germany international Mario Gotze has started fitness training sessions as he steps up his recovery from a hip injury.

The Borussia Dortmund winger has not featured for club or country since sustaining the problem in January.

However, despite the recent development, coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed that it still could be a while before the 19-year-old returns to action.

"We will see what's possible," Klopp told the club's official website. "We will remain calm and patient. We hope that he recovers quickly - and wait until that happens."

Gotze made his Dortmund debut in 2009.
