Jurgen Klopp remains upbeat after "stupid" equaliser

Jurgen Klopp remains upbeat despite seeing Borussia Dortmund twice waste a lead in a 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that the 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg was a positive result, despite conceding what he believed was a "stupid" late equaliser.

Ciro Immobile's strike put Dortmund on course for victory before Naldo secured a point for Wolfsburg with a late header, and Klopp elected to remain upbeat after seeing his side fail to climb out of the bottom three.

"We are still alive, still fighting. To pull it off against such an opponent was still good, even if it was stupid to conceded an equaliser from a corner," the Dortmund boss told reporters.

"Whether you're first or fifth, a 2-2 against Wolfsburg is not a bad result. The match today was absolutely positive in many areas. We can build on it."

Dortmund face Werder Bremen on Saturday in the final game before the Bundesliga's winter break.
