Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick believes that their meeting with Aston Villa in the FA Cup will give them a good barometer of their Premier League credentials.
The Cherries, who are currently top of the Championship, travel to Villa Park in the fourth round of the competition on Sunday.
"These are games you relish and you enjoy," Elphick told Sky Sports News.
"The last two defeats have come at a good time, so we can go and enjoy this and it'll be a good test to see how far away from this league we are."
Elphick recently hailed the impact that boss Eddie Howe has had on the squad.
