Adam Smith eyes Aston Villa upset

Adam Smith insists that neither he nor his Bournemouth teammates are fearing their upcoming trip to Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Adam Smith is hopeful that promotion-chasing Bournemouth can bring their Championship form into the FA Cup in Sunday's trip to Aston Villa.

The Cherries travel to Villa Park tomorrow afternoon aiming to upset their top-flight counterparts and earn a place in the fifth round of the competition.

Eddie Howe's side sit top of the Championship by a point, and Smith says that the prospect of facing relegation-threatened Villa holds no fear for his teammates.

"Things are going well at the minute," he told the Football Association's website. "The team spirit is very good and we're playing some good football.

"The lads won't be scared going into this game. We are just looking forward to testing ourselves against another top side.

"Hopefully we can beat Villa and then go on a bit of a run, like we did in the League Cup. We are looking to go on another good run and we'll see where that takes us."

The Villans sit two points above the relegation zone and have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League outings.
