Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe charged with misconduct by FA for post-match remarks

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is charged with misconduct following post-match comments.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following comments made after his side's game against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 37-year-old hit out at the match officials after Callum Wilson was denied what Howe believed was a certain penalty when the forward was brought down by Lewis Buxton in last weekend's 2-2 draw at the Goldsands Stadium.

Howe's assistant coach Jason Tindall has also been charged with misconduct after he allegedly insulted a match official after the game against the Owls.

A statement from the FA read: "It is alleged that Mr Howe's media comments following this game constitute improper conduct in that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of a match official or match officials, and/or bring the game into disrepute.

"It is alleged that after the end of the fixture Mr Tindall used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards or in respect of a match official."

Both individuals have until 6pm on April 27 to respond to the charge.
