Eddie Howe unsure if Bournemouth ready for Premier League

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admits that it's too early to tell if the club are ready for the Premier League.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that he is unsure if the club are ready to become a Premier League team, but is confident that the players have proved their worth in the Championship.

The Cherries are four wins away from winning the title and sealing automatic promotion to the top flight.

When asked during a press conference if the club are in position to be among the country's elite, Howe said: "I don't know. The team's demonstrated that it's ready for the challenges that we've had, we've had to embrace the Championship - the Championship is difficult enough coming into this division.

"I think we've proved we're a very good side in that league. Whether we're in the best two - that's what we've got to try to achieve. It remains to be seen and that's what we've got to try to prove in the last few games."

Bournemouth, who have a one-point lead at the top of the table, will take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium tonight.
