Half-Time Report: Rudy Gestede strikes to level Brentford clash

Jonathan Douglas and Rudy Gestede both score as Brentford and Blackburn Rovers go in level at half time of their Championship clash at Griffin Park.

Championship high-flyers Brentford and in-form Blackburn Rovers are level at half time after Rudy Gestede cancelled out a Jonathan Douglas opener.

Andre Gray's 20-yard effort deflected off Corry Evans inside the opening five minutes, and, from the resulting corner, Tony Craig sent an effort wide of Jason Steele's goal as Brentford start brightly.

The home side took the lead on 16 minutes when Moses Odubajo's cross found Jake Bidwell at the far post, who calmly teed up Douglas to fire home from 12 yards.

Alex Pritchard nearly doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark, but his 20-yard effort was turned around the post by Steele.

However, Blackburn were level on the stroke of half time when Gestede fired home from Craig Conway's cross.
