Brest have given themselves hope in their bid to avoid the drop from Ligue 1 with a vital 1-0 win at home to Valenciennes.
The only goal of the game came five minutes before half time through Bruno Grougi.
There were further chances for Eden Ben Basat and Foued Kadir after the break, but Brest were happy to settle for the one-goal margin and claim the three points.
Corentin Martins's team are now above the relegation zone on goal difference with one game left to play.
