Preview: Cardiff City vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole previews the Championship fixture between Cardiff City and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Cardiff City in the Championship knowing that a defeat could see them plunge into the bottom three.

The Seagulls initially showed signs of improvement under manager Chris Hughton, but have lost three on the spin in all competitions.

Sam Baldock and Jake Forster-Caskey could be in line for recalls at Cardiff after dropping to the bench against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, a match Brighton lost 3-2.

Cardiff head into the match in 15th place in the league, and could easily be pulled into a relegation dogfight with a few defeats.

The Bluebirds are in poor form themselves, but ended a run of four straight losses with a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

Striker Kenwyne Jones is likely to lead the Cardiff attack for the second match running after getting his name on the scoresheet against Wednesday, with Alex Revell continuing to serve as a substitute.

Recent signings Conor McAleny and Eoin Doyle could also keep their place in the team, while defender Matthew Connolly is pressing for a recall.
