Ronny Rodelin, Emmanuel Imorou hand Caen victory

Goals in either half from Ronny Rodelin and Emmanuel Imorou hand Caen a 2-0 victory over Gazelec Ajaccio.

Caen have moved up to fifth in Ligue 1 following a 2-0 victory at home to Gazelec Ajaccio this evening.

Andy Delort rattled the woodwork with a header midway through the first half, but the forward laid on the opener just a few minutes later.

Ronny Rodelin reached Delort's centre ahead of his marker in the 28th minute to give the hosts the advantage.

Rodelin almost grabbed a second after 38 minutes, but Clement Maury was equal to it.

Ten minutes after the interval, another ball into the box proved Ajaccio's undoing as Emmanuel Imorou slammed home Dennis Appiah's cross.

Ajaccio struggled to build up a head of steam as Caen held them at arms length to move level on points with Rennes and Reims.
