Charlton Athletic boss Guy Luzon elated with back-to-back wins

Charlton Athletic boss Guy Luzon says that his side produced a fantastic performance to secure a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in their Championship match.

Charlton Athletic boss Guy Luzon has revealed his delight with his team following their 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the Championship at the DW Stadium.

The Addicks secured back-to-back wins for the second time this season to push themselves nine points clear of the relegation zone thanks to strikes from Frederic Bulot, Igor Vetokele and new signing Chris Eagles.

"To come here after the 3-0 [against Brentford] and after Wigan had won in the middle of the week, we knew they're a very good team," Luzon told the club's official website.

"They're fighting to close the six points they need to stay in the league so we knew it would not be an easy game.

"We came here and worked fantastically with our organisation in defence. Our goalkeeper didn't touch the ball all game. We scored three goals and we had another two or three chances to score so we're delighted, but we need to continue."

Charlton are 12th in the Championship with 14 games to play this season.
