Jose Mourinho will pick "best team" against Maribor

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that he always picks his best available team as he rules out resting players for their Champions League clash with Maribor.

Jose Mourinho has indicated that he will not rest any players for Chelsea's Champions League clash with Maribor in Slovenia on Wednesday.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been criticised for making seven changes to his side for their defeat to European champions Real Madrid last night.

However, Mourinho has insisted that he would never send a side out which he does not feel is good enough to win and always picks his best available team.

He told reporters: "If Liverpool decide to rest players against the European champions it's a question for the Liverpool manager, not for me.

"Normally, against the most difficult opponents, I'll go with my best team."

Chelsea, who will qualify for the knockout stages tonight if they win and Sporting Lisbon fail to beat Schalke 04 in Group B's other game, thrashed Maribor 6-0 in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago.
