Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton.

Chelsea get their 2022-23 Premier League campaign underway with a trip to play Everton on Saturday evening.

On the back of a third-placed finish last season, head coach Thomas Tuchel is eager to try to close the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool, it feeling imperative that the Blues make a fast start to the season.

However, they make the trip to Goodison Park with numerous question marks regarding the make-up of their squad, with further incomings and outcomings still possible before kickoff on Merseyside.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Everton, who are managed by Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

Timo Werner

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: August 6 (vs. Everton)

While Werner is likely to miss out due to a potential move elsewhere, the German has also been dealing with an issue with his hamstring. All things considered, it would come as a surprise if the forward features in the squad on Saturday.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for the contest.
