Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has stressed the importance of rotating his squad for the club's remaining games in 2017.
On Wednesday night, Chelsea face Swansea City in the Premier League to start a period of 10 games before the end of the year, with the Blues still facing fixtures in the Champions League and EFL Cup.
Conte and Chelsea have ground to make up in the top flight, but the Italian has suggested that it will not stop him from making full use of his group of players over the next five weeks.
The 48-year-old told reporters: "The most important thing for us is to have all the players available in this period, it is very busy and it will be important to rotate players in November, December and January.
"The players need to rest. If you play every game you stop training and you are more likely to have an injury. It will be important to create a good balance between games and training."
Conte has revealed that defender David Luiz will miss the clash with the Swans due to a knee problem.
