Frank Lampard: 'Chelsea will improve under Jose Mourinho'

Frank Lampard backs Jose Mourinho to turn around Chelsea's poor start to the campaign.

Frank Lampard has backed Jose Mourinho to turn around Chelsea's slow start to the season.

Chelsea have already lost seven matches in all competitions this season, which is three more than in the entirety of the 2014-15 campaign, when they won the Premier League and League Cup double.

However, Lampard has said that the combination of Chelsea's "talent" and Mourinho's know-how will help them to recover from their slump.

"With Mourinho in charge, the squad they've got, the talent they've got on the pitch - I don't see any way that they won't turn it around," Lampard told BBC Sport after receiving an OBE at Buckingham Palace.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has also lent his support to Mourinho.
