Frank Lampard believes that the England players within the Chelsea team can bring their Champions League-winning mentality to Euro 2012.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes that he and his fellow English Blues will be able to instill the same "spirit" to the England camp that was shown in the Champions League final.

The Premier League outfit became the first London club to clinch the coveted trophy after defeating Bayern Munich on penalties.

Lampard, along with Ashley Cole and John Terry, is due to join up with the Three Lions next week after manager Roy Hodgson allowed them an extended break following their Champions League victory in Germany last weekend.

"It's nice for the Chelsea boys because we'll go with confidence with England when we join up next week," the London Evening Standard quotes Lampard as saying.

"England have got a strong squad and we'll go and join up with a spring in our step. If we can bring some of the play, the spirit, the determination - whatever it is that's won us the Champions League - into the England team then hopefully that can help this summer."

Hodgson completed his first open training session with the Euro 2012 squad today, but Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson was forced to sit out of the practice ahead of England's friendly against Norway this Saturday due to an infected toe.
