Romelu Lukaku has stated that he harbours "no hard feelings" towards Chelsea following his club-record move to Everton.
The Belgium international striker was unable to break into the first team at Chelsea prior to his £28m switch to Goodison Park, having spent the last two seasons on loan at West Bromwich Albion and the Toffees.
He told reporters: "I don't have any hard feelings against Chelsea Football Club, they gave me the hopes of playing in European football.
"I watched the players in training, I watched world-class players and world-class managers and without them I wouldn't be here, so I want to thank them as well."
Meanwhile, Toffees manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that his new forward is "worth every penny".
