Tony Pulis: 'John Stones, Saido Berahino outcomes good news for everyone'

Tony Pulis believes that West Brom and Everton's success in keeping Saido Berahino and John Stones is good news "for everybody".

Tony Pulis has said that he believes Everton and West Bromwich Albion's success in keeping hold of star players John Stones and Saido Berahino is 'good news for everyone'.

Berahino and Stones were subject to bids from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea respectively during the transfer window, but both clubs refused to sell despite pressure from the players.

"You would have thought that Tottenham would have got Saido at a certain price and you would have thought Chelsea would have got Stones at a certain price so it was nice that it didn't happen, for everybody," the Baggies' boss told reporters.

"I think the stakes are so high now for every club in terms of keeping Premier League football, that unless it's right it won't happen.

"If it's right then everybody has got a value. I just think the value of people and what's going on has changed."

West Brom host Everton tonight at 8pm.
