Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says that he wouldn't consider the Chelsea managerial role.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he isn't interested in becoming the new Chelsea manager.

The 65-year-old, who is tipped to be appointed the new England coach at the end of the season, believes that the job at Stamford Bridge is a favourable one, despite the lack of longevity with the position.

"It would be difficult," said Redknapp. "I wouldn't be able to come back to North London. So no, I will pass on that one.

"It's a club you can win a championship at because the owner has spared no expense. He has built the most incredible training ground, and they buy top-level players.

"They have top players so it's a dream job for someone to go there and make a success of it, whoever they take. So many people would love that job and the chance to work at a great club with the backing that the manager gets there."

Andre Villas-Boas was sacked by the former Premier League champions after just nine months in charge.

The likes of Jose Mourinho, Rafael Benitez and Pep Guardiola have been linked with the permanent role.
