Chelsea captain John Terry returns from a serious knee injury for the club's reserves on Thursday night.

Chelsea captain John Terry has made his return from injury with an appearance for the club's reserve team.

The defender had been out of action since November when he damaged his knee ligaments during the Blues' 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League.

However, the 32-year-old played 45 minutes of Chelsea Under-21s' 2-0 victory over Fulham at Cobham on Thursday evening.

Interim manager Rafael Benitez was in attendance to assess the former England international.
