Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has said that his side are back in the title race following their 2-1 win over Wolves on Monday night.
Frank Lampard's dramatic 89th-minute winner put an end to the Blues' four-game winless streak.
Although eight points off the top spot, the Portuguese manager has backtracked on his previous suggestion that his side are out of the title race following a string of unexpected results in the league.
"If we go on a winning streak of five or six games, which we are capable of, we can still be fighting for this league," said the former Porto boss.
"What December proved is that the top teams can drop points.
"Maybe the 90 points margin becomes a little bit unreal bearing in mind the happenings at the top of the table."
Villas-Boas became Chelsea manager this summer after a successful stint at Porto.
