Neil Adams hails "outstanding" Norwich City

Norwich City manager Neil Adams says that his side were "outstanding" in their goalless draw with Chelsea in the Premier League this afternoon.

Neil Adams has described Norwich City's performance against Chelsea as "outstanding" after the match at Stamford Bridge ended in a goalless draw.

The point keeps the Canaries' hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League alive, although they would still need other results to go their way.

The interim manager told BBC Sport: "It keeps us going for sure. I thought the performance was outstanding. We had a game plan and virtually executed it to perfection. We were so strong, so solid.

"Of course, we would have liked to have caused Chelsea one or two problems more, but you're playing against one of the best sides in Europe.

"I was tempted to put two strikers on but what you don't want to do is give the ball away because if we'd lost we would have been relegated, virtually. We're watching results now, we're watching other games. What we hope is that we go to the Arsenal game with an opportunity because with that sort of commitment and spirit we have a chance."

The result leaves Norwich in the relegation zone going into the final day of the season, two points behind Sunderland, who have a game in hand.
