Team News: Brendan Rodgers recalls Bernabeu absentees

The likes of Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli return for Liverpool against Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers has recalled the players that he left out of Liverpool's midweek trip to Real Madrid for this afternoon's Premier League clash against Chelsea at Anfield.

Captain Steven Gerrard, as well as Raheem Sterling, Mario Balotelli, Glen Johnson, Dejan Lovren and Philippe Coutinho were omitted from the starting lineup at the Bernabeu, but they have all returned for the visit of Jose Mourinho's Blues.

Meanwhile, despite continued concerns over a hamstring injury, Diego Costa will lead the away side's attack, with Ramires included in the midfield.

There has also been a change at left-back, with Filipe Luis dropping out to be replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta, who has returned from a three-match suspension.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno; Gerrard, Can, Henderson; Coutinho, Sterling; Balotelli

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Ramires, Oscar, Hazard; Costa
