Michael Essien will only decide on his Chelsea future once the club appoints a new manager, according to the his agent.
The Ghana international has only recently returned for the Blues following a serious knee injury sustained in pre-season.
"Is he happy at Chelsea? He is going through a difficult time but only because he has come back from a serious injury," Fabien Piveteau told calciomercato.
"I have spoken to Chelsea and they said they are happy but in football you can't guarantee what happens in the future.
"He has three years left on his contract but it depends on who will coach Chelsea in the summer."
Piveteau was also quick to play down rumours linking the 29-year-old midfielder with Italian giants Juventus.
"Right now there is nothing and I have not heard from any Italian club," he added.
Essien joined Chelsea from Lyon for around £24m in 2005.
