Everton manager Marco Silva hints that the club could make a decision on the long-term futures of loanee duo Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma in January.

Everton manager Marco Silva has suggested that the club could make a decision on the futures of loanee duo Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma in January.

Gomes has made just three Premier League appearances for the Toffees since joining on loan from Barcelona, whereas Zouma has featured nine times since his arrival from Chelsea.

Everton are thought to be considering making moves for both players on a permanent basis, and Silva has hinted that a decision could be made in the coming months rather than at the end of the season.

"Let's see what we can do. It's really important for me to feel how our players are enjoying their work here and to play in this shirt," the Portuguese boss told reporters.

"We'll see what will happen in the next months. It is something you always pay attention to. We have to decide in the future what we can do or not. I think it is really important for me that – not just the new players – but all the others' environment is good. You are talking about players who have come from big clubs.

"We have a fantastic group spirit in our dressing room and as we get strong it will get better for us. They are enjoying how they are feeling as well. The winning mentality we are trying to build."

Everton currently sit ninth in the Premier League table following this afternoon's 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
