Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud reportedly has no intention of joining Newcastle United before the end of January.
Having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Giroud is expected to find a new club in the coming days as he bids to retain his place in the France squad for Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are open to signing another frontman with Joelinton, Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle having struggled for goals this season.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Giroud will not be making the switch to St James' Park before Friday's deadline.
The report claims that the 33-year-old is only interested in moving to a London club or accepting an offer from abroad.
Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur are regarded as the frontrunners for the World Cup winner's signature.
