Inter Milan are reportedly considering dropping their immediate interest in Chelsea's Olivier Giroud.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move to Inter since the start of the month, and it had been thought that the Serie A giants were in pole position to sign the 2018 World Cup winner.
However, according to Sky Italia, Antonio Conte's side are considering pulling out of the race having completed a move for Denmark international Christian Eriksen.
The report, though, claims that Conte is still keen to agree a pre-contract with the experienced striker to allow him to move to San Siro once his Chelsea deal has expired this summer.
The 33-year-old has only scored once in seven appearances for Frank Lampard's side during the 2019-20 campaign, while he has featured on just five occasions in the Premier League since the start of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to be credited with an interest in the forward, and it has been reported that he would be open to a move to Jose Mourinho's side.
