Valencia boss Marcelino: 'Not right to discuss potential Michy Batshuayi stay'

Valencia boss Marcelino suggests that no decision has been made on whether Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi will remain at the club on a permanent basis.

Manager Marcelino has suggested that Valencia will 'analyse the situation' before making a decision on the future of forward Michy Batshuayi.

Valencia moved to complete the season-long loan signing of the Chelsea forward during the summer, but the Belgium international has scored just twice in 17 outings this season.

Marcelino has confirmed that Valencia can purchase Batshuayi for a set fee at the end of the campaign, but it appears that no call has been made on the 25-year-old.

At a press conference, Marcelino told reporters: "At the right time will analyse the final situation and we will decide.

"There is a transfer [clause], I do not know what the situation is contractually, but for all parties who want to leave, we will look for what is best for Valencia and thus the appropriate decisions will be made."

Batshuayi still has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his Chelsea contract.
