Report: Fernando Torres still expected to join Atletico Madrid on loan

Fernando Torres's permanent move from Chelsea to AC Milan will not impact his expected loan return to Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

Fernando Torres will reportedly still join Atletico Madrid on loan next month despite sealing a permanent switch to AC Milan.

It was confirmed on Saturday that the Spaniard had agreed to join Milan on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

However, the forward is still expected to make the loan switch to the Vicente Calderon in the January window, according to reports.

Atletico assistant manager German Burgos spoke of Torres's impending arrival earlier today, while Atletico defender Juanfran has also had his say.

Torres, who left Madrid in 2007 to sign for Liverpool, will officially join AC Milan on January 5.
