Atletico Madrid assistant manager German Burgos has been suspended for three games following his conduct in the Madrid derby against Real Madrid last weekend.
Burgos became involved in an altercation with the referee when Diego Costa was booked for diving inside the Los Blancos box, when it appeared that he had been caught by Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa.
The referee's report read: "Once sent off, Atletico Madrid's assistant manager, German Adrian Burgos Maestromey carried on with his protests, confronting me, having to be restrained by various members of the club's coaching and playing staff."
According to AS, Burgos has personally apologised to referee Deldago Ferreiro, but that has not stopped the 44-year-old Argentine receiving punishment for his actions.
