Graeme Souness: 'Chelsea need to improve this summer'

Chelsea must strengthen their squad this summer or they risk standing still, says Graeme Souness.

Former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness has urged Premier League champions Chelsea to strengthen this summer.

The Blues have already been linked with a host of names, including Antoine Griezmann, Christian Benteke and Koke, and Souness is adamant that they can't be complacent after a brilliant season.

He told Sky Sports News: "When you are at that level or perhaps any level, if you're not adding to it then you're standing still because your rivals will be strengthening.

"Manchester City will, Manchester United will and Arsenal certainly will. So Chelsea have to strengthen otherwise they're standing still."

Chelsea won the league by eight points from Manchester City.
