Southampton have warned Chelsea that their academy starlet Luke Shaw will not be moving to West London this summer.
Roberto Di Matteo has been linked with a move for the 16-year-old full-back, who has already made his first-team debut for Southampton.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins is desperate to keep the England youth international and has included Shaw in his squad for pre-season training.
A source told the Daily Star: "If Chelsea, or any other team, make an offer they are wasting their time. He is not for sale, and is staying here.
"It has been suggested he is not under contract, but he agreed professional terms back in December 2010, and his three-year contract begins on his 17th birthday."
Hot prospect Shaw is the latest in a long line of Saints academy graduates to be linked with top Premier League clubs.
