Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge will attend Liverpool's match with Sunderland on Wednesday night, according to reports.

Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge will move a step closer to leaving Chelsea on Wednesday night by attending Liverpool's match with Sunderland, according to reports.

Sturridge has been linked with a move to Anfield as he seeks regular first-team football after scoring just two goals in 12 appearances for Chelsea this season.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the England international will be on Merseyside on Wednesday evening to watch his potential new teammates face Sunderland.

If Sturridge leaves the European Champions in the next few days, it could lead to Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez seeking reinforcements with Fernando Torres remaining as the club's only recognised striker.
