Claudio Bravo: 'Chile not afraid of free-scoring Argentina'

Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo insists that neither he nor his teammates are afraid of facing free-scoring Argentina in their forthcoming Copa America final.

Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has insisted that he and his Chile teammates do not fear Argentina ahead of Saturday's Copa America final in Santiago.

The Albiceleste announced themselves at the competition with a 6-1 semi-final mauling of Paraguay, having previously struggled to reach the heights expected of them.

Nevertheless, Bravo says that result in Concepcion did little to unnerve La Roja - who beat Peru 2-1 in the semis - as the host nation chase a first ever Copa America title.

"We never have fear with any team. We have the maximum respect for all national teams," he told reporters at a press conference.

"The feeling which is not only mine, but of all my teammates, is of great happiness to see that the work we are doing is on track.

"By continuing the style of play we had under [former coach Marecelo] Bielsa we have always tried to capture the idea that Chile play as equals with any team. We are prepared, we know how he have to play. We have always tried to play and suffocate with our pressing."

On Saturday morning, Peru and Paraguay square off in Concepcion to determine who will finish third in the competition.
