Ajay Leitch-Smith signs a new one-year contract extension with Crewe Alexandra.

A statement on Crewe Alexandra's official website has revealed that Ajay Leitch-Smith has signed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

The 22-year-old, who was coming to the end of his contract, will now spend at least the next 12 months at the League One outfit.

The forward had reportedly attracted the interest of a number of Championship clubs, but he has agreed fresh terms with Steve Davis's side.

Ollie Turton and Jon Guthrie have also had their contracts extended for a further season.
