Half-Time Report: Dwight Gayle gives Crystal Palace narrow lead

Dwight Gayle fires Crystal Palace into a 1-0 half-time lead over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Dwight Gayle has fired Crystal Palace into a 1-0 half-time lead in the Eagles' end-of-season clash away to Fulham this afternoon.

Gayle, who bagged a memorable brace in Monday's 3-3 thriller with Liverpool, has netted his third in the space of six days to fire Palace ahead at Craven Cottage.

The striker converted Joel Ward's inital effort past goalkeeper David Stockdale shortly before the half-hour mark to give the visitors a lead.

It would have been two at the break if not for the intervention of Stockdale, who got down well to keep out Scott Dann's point-blank header to maintain the one-goal deficit at the break.
